Foreign Office, July 6, 1905. I AM directed by the Marquess of Lansdowne to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 1st instant, containing the observations of the Hong Kong and Shanghae Banking Corporation on the policy of the Board of Revenue in regard to the reforin of the currency in China, as described by the Chinese Minister of Finance to His Majesty's Minister at Peking.
I am to thank you for your communication on the subject, copies of which will be communicated to the Treasury and to Sir E. Satow for their information.
